GESL is searching for advisory board members! 

 

Overview: 

The GESL Advisory is a team of technical experts with over 10 years of experience who support specific areas of our work year-round and also play a role in supporting the strategic vision of the organization.  These areas include but are not limited to data and evaluation, finance and fundraising, communications and branding, programmatic delivery, partnerships and human resources. Advisory board members do not have jurisdiction rights in GESL. 

 

Responsibilities:

The advisory board meets once a month annually for an hour commitment

The advisory board member must make an annual contribution of 500 either via fundraising or otherwise

The advisory board member must support in their various technical capacities

Board member must serve a one year term and renewal is contingent upon their service and dedication

Here are the various roles we are looking for:

 

• Advisory Board Finance experts: Finance Experts are responsible for reviewing the GESL annual budget and helping the in country team develop stronger systems, prepare for audits etc..

• Advisory Board Fundraising expert : Developing a fundraising strategy for the organization and oversee donor applications for various donors as well as monitor fundraising activities from each board member. 

• Advisory Board Partnership development expert:  Help the organization develop partnerships both international and in country by developing partnership mapping activities.
